Housing Monitoring Report 2015

13th June 2017

Clydeplan today published it’s housing monitoring report for the period 2014-15. The monitoring report provides statistics on the land supply and delivery of housing in the city region over the period and includes some in depth analysis of longer term trends and issues. The analysis is based on housing land supply data provided by Clydeplan’s constituent Authorities.

Updated Development Plan Scheme and Participation Statement Published

Clydeplan today published its Development Plan Scheme and Participation Statement (April 2017 - April 2018).

The purpose of the Development Plan Scheme and Participation Statement is to set out Clydeplan’s programme for preparing, reviewing and consulting on its Strategic Development Plan.

The principle focus for 2017/18 will be the approval by Scottish Ministers and formal publication of the second Strategic Development Plan for the Glasgow city region and the publication later in the year of a new Planning Bill which will have implications for the Development Planning system in Scotland.

Annual Report 2016 Published

Clydeplan has today published its Annual Report 2016.

The Report focuses on the work of the Authority over the last twelve months and covers

•           Review of current Strategic Development Plan;

•           Clyde Marine Planning Partnership;

•           Glasgow City Region and City Deal;

•           Scottish Government’s Review of Planning in Scotland;

•           Continuing Stakeholder Engagement;

•           Personnel; and,

•           Priorities and Issues affecting the future work of Clydeplan

The scale of work that has been undertaken during 2016 has only been made possible by the willing support that Clydeplan has gratefully received from both private and public sector partners including the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Natural Heritage, Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Historic Environment Scotland, Strathclyde Partnership for Transport, Glasgow Airport, Visit Scotland, Transport Scotland, Forestry Commission Scotland, Glasgow and Clyde Valley Green Network Partnership, Clyde Marine Planning Partnership, Central Scotland Green Network Trust, Glasgow Centre for Population Health, Metropolitan Glasgow Strategic Drainage Partnership, Scottish Water, Homes for Scotland, Scottish Property Federation, University of Glasgow and Heriot Watt University.

Examination of Clydeplan Strategic Development Plan (January 2016) Complete

Update 20th March 2017

Today the Examination of the Clydeplan Proposed Strategic Development Plan (January 2016) has been completed and the independent Reporters, appointed by Scottish Ministers to consider the Plan, have published their Examination Report. The Proposed Strategic Development Plan was submitted for approval on 26th May 2016.

The Examination Report sets out the Reporters recommendations to Scottish Ministers regarding the Proposed Strategic Development Plan. A summary table is also provided of the Reporters recommendations by issue.

Report of Examination Drafting Error

The Directorate of Planning and Environmental Appeals have confirmed there is a drafting error in the Clydeplan Report of Examination which was published on Monday 20th March 2017 which relates to Issues 10 - 13.

With regard to Issue 10 (Recommendation 22 on page 91 of the Report of Examination) the text should read “Delete paragraph 6.71”

The Reporters have passed on their apologies for this unintentional drafting error. The Report of Examination will not be re-issued so account of the correction should be taken when reading the report.

Next steps

Scottish Ministers will now consider the Examination Report and either approve, modify or reject the Proposed Strategic Development Plan. It is anticipated that this process will take approximately 2 months.

 

Industry, Business and Offices Monitoring Report (2014-15)

Clydeplan today published it’s industry, business and offices monitoring report for the period 2014-15. The monitoring report provides statistics and analysis of the land supply for industrial and business uses, provides details of the take up of land for these uses and the development of land for industry for business in the Strategic Development Plan area. The analysis is based on industrial and business land supply data provided by the Clydeplan’s constituent Authorities.
