Industry, Business and Offices Monitoring Report (2015-16)

Clydeplan today published it’s industry, business and offices monitoring report for the period 2015-16. The monitoring report provides statistics and analysis of the land supply for industrial and business uses, provides details of the take up of land for these uses and the development of land for industry for business in the Strategic Development Plan area. The analysis is based on industrial and business land supply data provided by the Clydeplan’s constituent Authorities.

Scottish Ministers Approve Second Strategic Development Plan for the Glasgow City Region

Scottish Minister have today approved, with modifications, the second Strategic Development Plan for the Glasgow City Region.

The Strategic Development Plan sets out a development strategy over the next 20 years of where new development should be located and a policy framework to help deliver sustainable economic growth, shape good quality places and enhance the quality of life in the Glasgow city region. The Plan focuses on growing the economy of the city region in a low carbon and sustainable manner and setting out a planning framework which positively encourages investment within the city region.

Clydeplan, will as soon as practically possible, republish the approved Strategic Development Plan.

Housing Monitoring Report 2015

Clydeplan today published it’s housing monitoring report for the period 2014-15. The monitoring report provides statistics on the land supply and delivery of housing in the city region over the period and includes some in depth analysis of longer term trends and issues. The analysis is based on housing land supply data provided by Clydeplan’s constituent Authorities.

Updated Development Plan Scheme and Participation Statement Published

Clydeplan today published its Development Plan Scheme and Participation Statement (April 2017 - April 2018).

The purpose of the Development Plan Scheme and Participation Statement is to set out Clydeplan’s programme for preparing, reviewing and consulting on its Strategic Development Plan.

The principle focus for 2017/18 will be the approval by Scottish Ministers and formal publication of the second Strategic Development Plan for the Glasgow city region and the publication later in the year of a new Planning Bill which will have implications for the Development Planning system in Scotland.

Annual Report 2016 Published

Clydeplan has today published its Annual Report 2016.

The Report focuses on the work of the Authority over the last twelve months and covers

•           Review of current Strategic Development Plan;

•           Clyde Marine Planning Partnership;

•           Glasgow City Region and City Deal;

•           Scottish Government’s Review of Planning in Scotland;

•           Continuing Stakeholder Engagement;

•           Personnel; and,

•           Priorities and Issues affecting the future work of Clydeplan

The scale of work that has been undertaken during 2016 has only been made possible by the willing support that Clydeplan has gratefully received from both private and public sector partners including the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Natural Heritage, Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Historic Environment Scotland, Strathclyde Partnership for Transport, Glasgow Airport, Visit Scotland, Transport Scotland, Forestry Commission Scotland, Glasgow and Clyde Valley Green Network Partnership, Clyde Marine Planning Partnership, Central Scotland Green Network Trust, Glasgow Centre for Population Health, Metropolitan Glasgow Strategic Drainage Partnership, Scottish Water, Homes for Scotland, Scottish Property Federation, University of Glasgow and Heriot Watt University.
